The SGM Galaxy Chamber Orchestra held a musical concert on 30 June at the Soka Gakkai Culture Centre. The performance began with “Thor: The Dark World” by Brian Tyler, followed by several notable pieces from films by renowned Japanese animator Hayao Miyazaki, such as “Reprise,” “Laputa” and “Always with Me.”

The concert also featured several classical pieces, including Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s “Divertimento in D major,” Antonio Vivaldi’s “La Primavera” and Edward Elgar’s “Cello Concerto in E minor.” During the performance of “Pirates of the Caribbean,” the musicians donned pirate-themed costumes, adding visual flair to the music.

At the concert, performers also shared their musical journeys and their inspiration to spread peace, hope, and happiness through music.
